Hotel Ruby Marie, Madison

Stepping into the Ruby Marie is like stepping back in time with all the modern conveniences added! The decor is pleasing and interesting, giving the visitor a feeling of 19th century plush surroundings. Rooms on one side of the hotel overlook a Madison lake. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The beds (and I've slept in many rooms) are the most comfortable I've ever found in any hotel. The bathrooms are light and well equipped. The amenities include a well stocked mini refrigerator, thick bathrobes, plush carpet, tvs and vcr's, seating areas, whirlpool tubs, and an extra plus is the delicious complimentary breakfast at the Come Back Inn located next door. The Ruby Marie is next door to the Essen Haus--German food and beer at its best! Visitors can also visit the Up North Bar or the Come Back Inn. One only has to walk up the hill to reach the square and to visit the Capitol building. A great central location!
