Rodeway Inn Grand Haven, Grand Haven

This place is run down, shabby and has a foul odor. On top of that, it isnt really that much cheaper than staying someplace else in town thats decent. In short, its a dump, spend the extra $15 to stay somewhere else. I reserved with Expedia, and when I got to the hotel 1 hour later and told them the facility was shoddy and I didn't want to stay there, they told me I would be charged for the room anyway so I was kinda stuck

Disliked everything except the location! We booked two king rooms for two nights so that we could attend a family wedding. The carpets were dirty and one had a stain that was so sticky that if you stood on it, your shoe stuck to the carpet! The rooms smelled of urine and we found a used, dried out washcloth hanging over the shower bar in one bathroom. The king beds were hard as rocks and we all woke up with backaches the morning of the wedding. The air conditioning units had black mold spots on the louvers - ugh! We cannot recommend this motel to anyone. There was a small balcony over the office with chairs and a table and it would have been a great place to sit for morning coffee but just walking out there scared the crap out of me as the floor felt like it was going to drop out from under me it was so rotten!

Be advised this stop would be better passed by! Noisy rooms/can hear sirens multiple times/night Rooms are in sad shape a/c doesn't always work. If you want a truck stop to sleep in this is the place!

My husband and I had a charter fishing trip scheduled so I went online and found what I thought was a fairly inexpensive, although not cheap at $75.00 a night, hotel. It was close to the marina we had to go to. Upon driving up you could tell it needs some paint on the outside and maybe some sort of flowers or plants or something. It just looks kind of dingy. We checked in with the "ethnic" clerk and proceeded up to our room. Their were stains on the carpet, cobwebs in the corners by the ceiling, the refrigerator didn't get cold and everything in the place was old and shabby. We decided to stay the one night since our fishing trip was bright and early but I went downstairs and got a refund for the second night. The second night we went to a different place that was the same price and 100% nicer and cleaner. I don't recommend this place unless you really don't care where you lay your head. To put it in a nutshell, I looked under the covers to make sure there weren't any bugs.
