Wonderful place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/11
We stayed there a couple of weekends ago, it was beautiful. Definately a nice neighborhood...friendly and wonderful owners and neighbors. It's the kind of neighborhood where everyone knows each other and I hear that they have regular pot luck get togethers!

Will return!
By debra, 7/15/11
I love this place! It has a relaxed, easy going atmosphere and the rooms are very clean. the deck surrounding the building is a great place to relax. It is in the heart of a wonderful art community with many great art galleries around. I only wish I had brought my bicycle and kayak and wish my trip was longer. The water shuttle was great as well ($10/day) and the captain gave us a little tour of the harbor. There are a few good restaurants within walking distance as well.

Paradise

This place is the cutest, friendliest, most adorable, picturesque place I have ever stayed. The wroking artists all along the street are talented and accessible. The cove is literally under your feet, the swans lovely, and everyone you meet thinks you are specail. Try breakfast at Sailor Stan's and the band at the Mad Fish, both half a block away. Kitty Beer

Unsurpassed hospitality
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/30/11
The rooms were sparklingly clean, bright with sunlight, and airy. The deck around the building has a fine view of the harbor, as do the rooms. We used our kitchen to make breakfast and we ate in the morning sun while watching the fishing boats prepare for the day. Mona, our hostess, was supremely courteous and went far out of her way to assure our comfort. The location is on a small peninsula on the east side of Gloucester Bay. There are a couple of restaurants and several galleries within an easy walk. The atmosphere of the peninsula is local residential, not commercial. Downtown Gloucester is a few minutes drive away, insulating this location from noise and crowds. I absolutely plan to return next year.

At-Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/10
I loved our efficiency suite. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We loved sitting out on the deck, enjoying the swans. Location was adorable with artists shops, restaurants and a bar with entertainment. We only stayed for one night but by the time I left I felt the need to hug the owner, who went out of her way to accommodate our arrival times and departures. Will definitely stay here again.

My Soul's Haven

I love to sleep right on top of the water and wake up to the swans. I love the homey atmosphere where nobody pretends to be anybody. I have done my best writing in these cute little suites. Kitty Beer author of What Love Can't Do

The best weeks of our life
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/19/08
Several years ago my husband and I spent 6 weeks in our little efficiency apartment next door to the wonderful ice cream shop. We loved every minute of our stay and dream of the day we will be able to return. We enjoyed the seafood, Smith's Cove, the people, the artists, the shops, and the flowers. Our rooms were clean with a beautiful view. We had the best time of our lives.

Best vacation of my life
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/10/08
I slept on the floor the bed was so nice. The views were spectacular. The owners son was incredibly good looking and helpful and his hair was so nice and full and fluffy. There was a variety of great food within walking distance not to mention the best ice cream store i have ever been to, I would not be surprised if it was the best ice cream store in the world. I would love to go back.
