Great park

One of the nicer parks in the system. Good for camping and day use. As with all state parks, the user fee (whether daily or season pass) is well worth the cost. Others outside the state need to stop whining about the cost and think about the good deal they're getting, even if they do have to pay more because of their nonresident status. Way better than anything you can find in IL.

Beware of mean park employee's!!

I have been going to this park for years and they have aways been strict but this year was the last time I will ever go back, I had taken a ride from IL. to meet up with my church for lunch at the park, we do this every year and they know us, well I had my little 6 month old baby and the park guy tells ne I have to pay to eat my lunch in the park, I've never in my years of coming here had to pay.(only if you camp overnight)Well my baby was hungry and crying and he told me I have to leave, I could not pay because that was my Sabbath and we do not use cash on the holy day so I had to take my child to the downtown area to feed her. Awful people!!!!
