6 reviews for Fox Pond Bed and Breakfast, Marblehead
a special place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/06/09
In april 2009 me and my wife stayed in the Fox Pond Bed and Breakfast for three nights. After seeing the beautiful pond room we really fell in love with the place. It is grand with a very high ceiling, beautiful large windows and a magnificent view of the beautiful, well kept garden. Behind the garden is some woodland which adds tremendously to the feeling that you're in the middle of nature. In the morning we had lots of fun seeing the little squirrels roaming around and all sorts of birds. We like walking and it is a nice nature walk to splendid downtown Marblehead. Not very far although some of the very friendly residents of the village were amazed we did not go by car. Next day we went to Salem. Also by foot, a little longer walk, a little less pretty but still fun to do. All in all we were pleasantly surprised by the hiking possibilities from this in this place. Special praise for the great breakfast, the beautiful bathroom (jacuzzi!) and Ted's relaxed way of making you feel at home. Everything in the B&B is about good taste and that delivers a great experience.

Loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/09
We loved everything--the area, the very well-kept backyard and gardens, the large front porch, the breakfasts (even accomodating 2 vegetarians), and of course sweet Sophie. Ted was extremely accomodating and a wonderful host. We felt very welcome. Everything was clean and comfortable. We loved the location too--close to everything, but far enough away from the busyness. We made good use of the running trail nearby. Ted gave excellent recommendations of restaurants in the area and how to best get around. The rates were very reasonable. We will definitely go back next time we're in the area.

Bed and breakfast gone bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/02/07
I felt like I was saying in someones house. The B&B is far from the water and anything interesting in Marblehead. If you want to enjoy Marblehead stay in old town or out on the neck. Our host was not very helpful and I found the marketing material that was provided misleading. I would not spend my money here again.

Beautiful B&B
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/25/07
Ted and his dog Sophie are wonderful caretakers of this Beautiful B&B on a quiet street in Marblehead. The inside and outside settings are very beautiful and the pond and patio are very relaxing. Ted is full of helpful information and puts on a delightful breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and the location is perfect for driving to all locations in the Boston area. We really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it.
