Hostelling International Boston, Boston

The hostel location is ideal. It's in Back Bay and a few short blocks from the T (Boston's subway system). From the T station Fenway Park and Boston Common are only a few short stops away. If you don't feel like taking the T head over to Newburry Street, which is also only a few short blocks of a walk from the hostel. Newburry Street is very busy at night and I (25, female, traveling alone) always felt safe in the crowds there. There are numerous places to eat nearby that stay open late. My favorite thing about the hostel is that they have private bathrooms. They have the big bathrooms on each floor, with three or four toilets and showers, but they also have single toilets scattered around and single shower rooms, so you can have a little more privacy. The front desk staff was always friendly and informative. I wasn't sure what to expect from a hostel, but I loved this place.
