1 reviews for McCully House Inn, The, Jacksonville
For the money, the food simply did not measure up...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/05
I intentionally chose this inn because of its proximity to the Valley View Winery, just outside Jacksonville. The location was fine. The accommodations (an ancillary building) were nice, although "under construction". I had expected (regarding the food) to find what I generally find at B&Bs or inns at the price level indicated. Imagine my surprise, when my choice of breakfast items included only those items I would have considered reasonable for an advertised "continental breakfast". Given that my intention was to treat my sister to an special, out-of-the-ordinary treat after our volunteer work at the "Hearts and Vines" fundraiser, I was disappointed to say the least. I would not have thought it important to inquire about the breakfast prior to making my reservation, as I had assumed that it would be as any other inn or B&B I had been to. If McCully Inn intends to continue with their continental breakfast, then I suggest stronly that they advertise accordingly.
