Lost Elegance
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/09
My husband and I stayed at Point Pleasant Inn for a long weekend. We've stayed here before and decided to return because the Inn is flawless. Trish and Gunter Hafer are wonderful hosts and their staff is beyond superb. From the moment you step through the threshold you step into another time of lost elegance. We all rush around and usually don't have time to stop and enjoy our surroundings. At Point Pleasant that is what you are able to do. Sitting out on the patio for breakfast, looking out over the expansive lawn, enjoying the sailboats and view of Bristol you find yourself taking a deep breath and truly relaxing. If you want rejuvenate your soul, Point Pleasant is the place to go. I can guarantee you that we will find ourselves wanting to go back to the Inn again and again.

Best Little Gem in New England
By tri, 07/18/09
As a travel writer and rater, I was blown away by this great find. This lovely 33 room mansion, completely restored to it's original decor is located in Bristol RI, Bristol County with only 5 guest rooms. It offers a semi all inclusive venue, everything but dinner, including open bar! It truely is a private resort! The only way to find out about it is word of mouth or the web. My editor found an article and sent me to check it and several more inns out in New England. Hands down best value for the money. I don't know what the guy is even reviewing this as their site clearly states NO CHILDREN under 14. Who would want to take their children to this posh estate and mess up the peace and quiet and adult interaction? In fact, I like it so much we have already booked a September weeks vacation that has nothing to do with work. You can't believe all there is to do and see and all the great dinner restaurants in Bristol.

Don't get it!
By Patricia, 07/07/09
We love this place and do not understand why the Brits are writing such a review. They clearly did not read the website. It states, no children under 14. We go often and find it is worth every dollar as it is all inclusive except for dinner. But dinner was furnished on the night of the fireworks. We were present during the Fourth at the Inn and the children were really loud and disrespectful of their parents, other guests and the property.

600 a night way too much sorry!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/08/08
Way over priced sorry nothing in RI is worth 600 a night. We stayed there and were disappointed and felt a whole lot lighter in the pocketbook.

Best Kept Secret
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/30/06
We are from California and just stumbled on Point Pleasant on a trip to New England. We were so pleased to find a small boutique resort that even exceeds the similiar in the Tuscany region. Everything you want to see, eat, drink, or do is there. We just want to keep it a secret as they only have six rooms. We came with a five day reservation and had planned to travel around. But, stayed our entire 17 days. It is a five star plus. kenny and marge

Waterfront All Inclusive
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/08/05
We really just fell in love with Trish's concept at Point Pleasant Inn & Resort. She and Gunter thought of everything and designed it around their desires when they travel. We loved being on a 25 acres estate in a restored mansion, but the pool, hot tub, suana, new tennis court, bocce, bike and kayaks are just a few of the amenities. Amy and I like the fact the price includes breakfast, tea time, cocktail buffet, desserts, unlimited beverages (alchohol), sodas, bottled waters, upscale snacks, and more. The service is above anything we have experience. With only six guest rooms in a 33 room mansion you have the intimacy you require but interaction when you want it. We met so many nice people and are keeping in touch with several. In fact, we return next week and will meet another couple we met at Point Pleasant. You'll love the beds, turndown service, breakfast on the terrace, and all the little extras like robes, spa wraps, fresh flowers everywhere, warm cookies, Southern lemonade and great hosts.
