The main floor had a full bathroom, kitchen. living room and walk-out to a patio with table, chairs and umbrella. The upstairs was a large masterbedroom which had a window looking over the dowstairs living room. This allowed extra light into the upstairs. The living room had 2 sky-lites, pull-out sofa bed and tv with a DVD/VCR combo. From the walk-out you saw wooded area with picnic tables and bbq's. I could use my laptop from the unit as it was close enough to the main building which had computer access in the lobby. The resort conists of 10 separate buildings, 90 units, some were townhouses likes ours, others were 2 floor buildings with apts on each floor. I would recommend the townhouse style as it was more private and you had nobody over you. We asked for a key to the view and apartment style unit. We did not like it as it was dark inside, and no real privacy for another couple. The resort has a large outdoor pool which they have divided in half deep and half shallow for kids. There are 2 sets of stairs to the shallow end for kids to get into the pool. There are tons of loungers around the pool and you would never have to worry about not finding a chair. They had tables with umbrellas if you wanted to be in the shade. To enter the pool you had to enter through the lobby of the resort that way you do not have to worry about small children getting into the pool unattended. They also have a large indoor pool which would be used in the off season months. There was a hot tub, sauna and exercise room within the indoor pool area. From the Sea Mist Resort you could plan day trips to see the sites of Cape Cod. We went to Martha's Vineyard one day on the ferry from Falmouth. Another day we drove to Provinctown, and walked along the beach before we got to Provinctown. We went to see the Kenendy compound in Yarmouth. The Sea Mist is a great stepping stone to see the sites. We were there just before the high season started and driving around was not difficult. There is shopping just a block away with a large grocery store in Mashpee Commons. It looked fairly new and had lots of stores to keep you busy. The ladies went over several times to pick up great deals. Check-in and out was very quick and efficent. I would like to go back again for another visit. I would also like to buy a unit their, but as stated before only a townhouse unit. It is within a day for driving from home and that is a plus these days with the cost of airfares. This is a resort you could bring young children, they have mini-golf, tennis courts and a pool suitable for small children.

Worst condo I've ever stayed in!
By FAISAL, 04/06/08
The grounds were beautiful - lots of trees, shady and quiet. Also, on the plus side, the location is convenient and the condos were sufficiently spacious. However, the buildings were in disrepair. Inside, the decor was very dated, the walls and ceiling were cracked and damaged, the kitchen was not very well stocked and not very clean - but worst of all, the place reeked. It smelled heavily of human body odor and stale smoke - it was absolutely horrible. The first thing we did upon arrival was go shopping for fragrant cleaning supplies and some air freshener. After a thorough cleaning, the smell still persisted. Clearly, the smell was embedded in the upholstery fabric and curtains. Why had these not been deep cleaned? Another irritating thing was getting something so simple as fresh towels. They wouldn't give you fresh towels unless you walked to a special laundry room, dropped off your used towels and picked up clean ones. This really would not have been such a big deal except that the laundry service had very unreasonable hours. You could drop off laundry between 10am-12pm or 1pm to 3 or something like that. When we first got up, it was too early to drop off the towels and by the time everyone had eaten breakfast, showered and finished making our plans for the day - the laundry people were taking their lunch break. Then, of course, by the time we came back from our daily excursions, the laundry room was shut down for the night. I think we were able to exchange towels one time - it was a very inconvenient system. I was also disappointed that the Sea Mist resort does not participate in any kind of recycling program. I ended up dropping off my recyclables at an IKEA in CT on the way home to NY! Overall, it was two star experience - I would not recommend the Sea Mist Resort to anyone.

Owner dissatifaction
By RUSSELL, 01/31/08
As an ower of this resort I was horrofied at the conditions. The bed was supposed to be a king and there was a full size bed of the poorest quality I have ever seen. The furniture was missing and very uncomfortable. Kitchen Items were cheap, missing and dirty. The whole place needed paint. The deck area was unkept and dirty. This place has gone from a five star resort to a place I don't want to stay at. Sorry to anyone else who had to endure a vacation here. What service...I requested new sheets on the 4th day of my stay only to be told that would cost me $15.00. I requested iformation from the front desk but was told there was nobody around to answer my questions.
