Elm Arch Inn, Falmouth

Built in the first decade of the Nineteenth Century, this lovely Colonial style inn is truly an historic structure, and proudly displays the scars it received when bombarded in the War of 1812, in order to substantiate this claim to historical significance; the ambience of the Inn surrounds one with palpable reminders of the Colonial era, with such appointments as antique furnishings, braided rigs, patchwork quilts, and, in some of the guestrooms, four-poster canopy beds. The guestrooms range in size and accommodations, with varying numbers and sizes of beds found in different rooms, with some rooms having private baths, and some only in-room sinks and a hallway bathroom. Some rooms come with air conditioning and televisions, a three-room cottage is available, and the Richardson House annex offers additional accommodations.
