Medicine Bow Guest Ranch & Lodge, Saratoga

I'm going to try and keep this short since I can ramble about how much I love this place. Beautiful friendly, healthy, well trained horses. Not typical in-line trail rides, we learned how to actually ride, and not just to follow the horse infront of us. Delicious home made food for 3 meals, and wonderful snacks always available. Wonderful friendly staff and owners. Cozy clean private cabin. Great water pressure in the shower (thats important to me!) remote and quiet, Great nature watching and hiking nearby. Fantastic value. a real get away from city life. We did the pack trip the first time, and enjoyed the camping and food, but will probably explore the area more the second time around. Other guests were all very friendly, but you don't have to be with people all the time either. Perfect balance of whichever you want! Clearly, we loved it cause were going back again.

Not your typical horse in a line Dude Ranch, great staff, lots of mountain meadows to run, small enough to get to know others but big enough to have all the privacy that you want. Nice cabins, clean, and comfortable. I recommend the overnight pack trip.
