The history of The Arbor House is a bit of a mystery. Some say it was brought to the island on a barge, some say oxen pulled it across frozen Katama Bay. One thing can be agreed upon by all who visit; it is one of the island's most beautiful inns. Rooms, each with a private bath, are decorated with antiques and vintage furniture. Enjoy breakfast by the fire in the dining room or during warmer months, outdoors in the tea garden. A bike path a few steps from the front door leads to the lovely shops, restaurants and beaches of Edgartown. Rates vary with the season.
Hotel Details: air conditioning, bar, non-smoking_rooms, parking, television, safe deposit, solarium

We won't go back!
By gigi, 07/30/07
We did not like the proprietor's very unfriendly and ill-tempered personality. She was constantly trying to save money at the obvious expense of the guests, such as, powdered coffee in the morning which was only served at 8:30 (never before). Poor breakfast with only one muffin allowed per guest and a poor selection of fruit and yogert. Weeds taking over the garden. Not a very pleasant experience for us.
