u have to walk on glass!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/09
well i have been camping there for awhile but aftter the last couple years they have gotten more strict and it feels like u have to walk on glass, even at the pool its not fair that they will make a statement at the permanent campers kids but the weekenders little kids have free range when no one under the age of 15 can be left alone at the pool. i have noticed the remarks that the owner says to certain ppl and she needs to realize that its a camp ground and ppl are there to enjoy themselves to get away from work and everyday life. the other pep peev i have is the night security guard we had a little radio on and we could barely hear it and at 10:45 pm he told us to turn it off or leave the camp, how can he do that when quiet time is 11:00pm. i have not been back since they double booked our site. almost a year ago. the other camp grounds around the area are nice they give u more free range then deer meadows, the other thing i noticed was they now have a "no tent" rule well how can that be when there were tents at sites by the road. so can we call that contradicting themselves, i think so.

fun place to go
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/09
We've been tent camping at Deer Meadows for years. The kids enjoy the activities, playground, and riding there bicycles there. We always make a trip down the river in the canoes too. The employees are very pleasent and helpful. We love it there. Even when we can only make it once a year they remember us! That says something.

DO NOT GO!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/15/09
I like nothing about it. They do not accept people with tents! They use to be a campground when you could pop out your tent but now they do not allow tents only campers and rv's. This to me does not make them a campground. Its discrimination to all us people that camp with tents.

Going back again this summer
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/08
For the last five years our family has been having our annual family reunion at Deer Meadow. With their "pole sites" in the field we are able to all camp together (RV's popups and tents). They have been wonderful accomadating our 70-100 person group each year. I would definately recommend this camp ground for all levels of campers. Being right in the middle of cooks forest is also a wonderful draw. The canoeing and camping trails are wonderful.

A taste of the great outdoors
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/07
Off and on for the past 10 years our family has been camping at Deer Meadows campground and the reasons are simple, beautiful surroundings, crisp clean air, quiet but friendly family like experience, not to mention the endless activities to do at and around the campground. From reading a relaxing book to swimming, canoeing, tubeing, hiking, horse back riding,go cart riding and just plain taking a senic drive along forest road is breath taking in itself. For our family it is easy to say what brings us back to Deer Meadows year after year.

By Shawn, 06/25/07
Deer Meadow campground is a great family campground a vacationers or weekenders. They have many kinds of different activies every weekend for kids. Plus it has a store, swim, arcade room etc, I would say it is great campground for any family that likes to spend time out in the country side.
