Very disappointed

This was a very disappointing experience for my wife and me. We’ve never written a review before, but felt compelled to share the following: the hostess didn’t introduce herself (she couldn’t pull away from doing dishes to greet us – took no interest in her guests); when asked, she couldn’t tell me how old the house was (offered no other information about the house, either); we chose the best room, but no period or antique furniture was in it (it was called the Mark Twain room, but it had a Picasso reprint in the bathroom); no sand applied to very icy inclined driveway (I nearly fell twice); arrived when I said we would, but host didn’t come to the door for a long time because she was in the basement; only one set of towels put out for my wife and me; nothing put out like special soaps, treats, or anything to drink in the room (sure glad we brought bottled water); nothing was said to us about the kitchen being available; had to ask for the wireless internet code in order to use our laptop -hostess couldn’t find it at first; no individual temperature adjustments in the rooms – it was too hot or too cold;
We were served a good, hardy breakfast, and the house was very clean, but in no way did the Mississippi Manor resemble a B & B and certainly wasn’t worth the $ 109 we paid. Won’t be returning. (might want to re-name it – Mississippi Lack of Manors.
