Room was cozy!

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at Sweethoteldeals. Net They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Inn never returns emails or phone calls.
By ,
I called them twice and emailed twice, as my daughter did also, about having a small wedding reception there. They never called or emailed back. Two weeks later I get an email from a friend of theirs that read... "To Whom It May Concern: Jeff and Karl are not computer people and as their friend I told them I'd look in their email account from my home computer and just let people know they are not using email at this time. As it turns out their Computer at The Inn is broken and it seems they are in no rush to get another one (remember they are NOT computer type people -- it makes sense to them. . . not to you and me) If you need to contact Jeff or Karl please call 412-231-6544 x10 during regular business hours, or at their FAX: 412-231-3951 I am sorry I am not able to assist you in any other matters (like reservations) other than passing this message on to you. Bob I guess that they are not answer machine friendly either. They obviously do not need the business so I won't bother recommending them to anyone. We have alot of out of town friends coming that could have stayed there. I do not know if they do receptions or not but they could have at least called back to let us know.

Fabulous Stay!
By ,
Everything was very elegant, the host was so warm, and the atmosphere was perfect. It really made our whole experience in Pittsburgh. The restaurant served us, even though the staff had gone home for the day... Everyone that worked at this inn was fun, courteous, and very helpful with suggestions on where to go, what to do, while we were there. We will definitely go back. A dream.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!
By ,
This is the most charming B&B I had ever stayed in. The owners, Karl and Jeff were charming, personable and informative. Karl was fantastic! I wanted to get a manicure on Saturday afternoon, bad timing on my part. But, he called his manicurist and she fit me in! He knew all the good places to go in the wonderful city of Pittsburgh. He and Jeff know the history, the story and the nitty-gritty of the city. The place is so clean, not a speck of dust, dirt, soap scum or cobweb in the entire place! Even very high ceilings are sparkling. You really feel comfortable in their elaborate dwelling. The beds are unbelievably comfortable. The main staircase is elegant, as is the sitting room and entrance. The grounds are beautiful, full of color and charm. The front porch welcomes you to sit and have coffee or read a book. The back veranda with the fountain under the structure is great for drinking wine in the evening and chatting with friends. The walkways are lit with adorable flower lanterns that add a whimsical ambiance to the grounds. I loved the cookies and popcorn in the evenings. The pastries, fruit and coffee were very good in the mornings. The location is Okay. The neighborhood is an up and coming urban renewal area. Some of the homes around the house are beautiful, some are in need of repair. You can tell there has been a lot of work done, but there still needs to be more done. The park across the street was great for a morning stroll, or to visit the aviary. The view of the park from our window in Mr. Boggs' room was very pretty, with the city popping up behind it. I wouldn't walk around at night. There are lots of homeless people in the area and were often camped out in front of the church or YMCA next door. However, it was easy to get to downtown and the highway from the location. The price was less expensive than any of the hotels in the area. For the price, you get a lot of space in your room, a good breakfast and great romance! Overall, my husband and I loved it, as did the friends we traveled with. We will be back. KT from Akron.

Beautiful Home!!!
By ,
We had a great stay and very much enjoyed the mansion and the bar. The staff (particularly the Host for the resturant and bar area) were very friendly and helpful. The only knock on the place is that it is located in a very gritty part of Pittsburgh.

My Favorite Hotel in Pittsburgh
By ,
I have stayed her multiple times. The innkeepers are a delight and make me feel like a welcome guest each time. Enormous rooms, tastefully appointed. A $500/night experience at a fraction of the cost. Continental breakfasts are sufficient, but dinners at the attached gourmet restaurant are where it's at. The location is great for me-- within walking distance to my client-- but the neighborhood is in transition. Use this hotel as your refuge from 'it all'.

We loved it !
By ,
A very romantic bed and breakfast. We loved the area. There are many renovations happening with the delightful row houses in the neighborhood surrounding the mansion. You should be cautious in the late evening, there are a few men's shelters near by that made me slightly uneasy. Convenient location. It was an easy walk for us to downtown Pittsburgh. The National Aviary is just across the park. We had an outstanding meal in the newly opened restaurant behind the mansion.

Game time!
By ,
The innkeepers were great and the location was perfect for going to a Steeler game. You could walk across the street, through the park and you are there - Heinz Field.

THIS gem is a real treat. Stayed there to visit the Warhol museum a couple of yrs. ago and we cannot WAIT to come back. It's very well priced for what you get and worth every penny. The guy's are THE nicest and any information we needed they were more than happy to help with.

Loved it!
The property has been wonderfully restored and was fantastic! The owners were great and took good care of us. We got one of the top floor suites and really enjoyed it.
