Description

William Doyle?????????s 18th Century Inn, founded at the intersection of the Philadelphia to Easton , and Swedsford to Coryell's Ferry roads, was the seed that bloomed into the town now known as Doylestown. As a major crossroads in a largely agricultural area, Doylestown became a central village in the County, leading to its designation as the County Seat. With the prosperity of the late 20th century, and the rediscovery of traditional small towns as high quality places to live, Doylestown has seen a renaissance of its downtown and an increased appreciation for its architectural heritage. The Borough is home to 2 world famous museums the Mercer Museum and the James A. Michener Art Museum.

Right near doylestown
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/23/11
Needed place to stay in the area basically the only places other than B&Bs that are really expensive. A few other places that were about half an hour drive away but again those turned out to cost about twice as much as a room here only place cheaper turned out to be terrible if I ever need a place to sleep in the area I'd stay here

defamation of character
By meg, 3/23/11
They treat the women who are placed there by churches li8ke white trash whores. Also, they allow strange people to pay for women who churches cut off thru no fault of their own. Thus, they are endangering a woman's life in doing so. They are unprofessional. Why not just go around town and say all women there are whores and losers why don't you.

A place to stay for the night
By me, 11/23/09
I have visited twice in the past month. This motel was priced reasonably compared to nearby B&B's. It is a basic older style 2 story motel. It is clean with comfy pillows and a small fridge. The bathroom is well ventilated, though the sink was slow to drain. Also, only soap is provided- no shampoo or hair dryer. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is nothing fancy, but there is a toaster for the bagels, fresh coffee, and OJ. There can be noise from outside-other guests, or people from the on site Mexican restaurant/bar (only so-so despite the banner). The television guide needs to be updated- the channels were not as listed. Would like to see internet included in room rate.

Good value for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/4/09
Nothing fancy, but clean and centrally located. Staff was pleasant. Continental breakfast is nothing to write home about, but there is an IHop in walking distance. If you like upscale, this is not for you. If you want a place to sleep that is clean, this is it. We have stayed here at least 3 times and it is convenient if you have a kid at Delaware Valley College.

Worse than a "Motel 6"
By David, 5/26/08
We had several rooms for our party. One of them flooded from a plumbing problem in the ceiling, but they did move us to a new room. The rooms are poorly sound insulated, especially from people walking by and activity in the parking lot. When plumbing is used, the noise can be heard in adjacent rooms. No bath shampoo or conditioner, but the shower did work well. Toilet tissue was the absolute thinnest I've ever seen. That's not a good place for a hotel to try to save money. We stayed several days, and our room key had to be re-programmed twice, because of glitches in the card lock system. Continental breakfast is very minimal. Just seemed like the place was being run with the absolute least expenditure that they can do. I definitely prefer "Motel 6" to the Courthouse in Doylestown. Won't stay there again.

The room was a little shabby but the staff was very friendly and helpful and the motel was in an ideal location. The price was very reasonable.

We have been back, but look elsewhere too
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/13/07
Good Location in Doylestown Building is typical older construction style. Room interiors are OK. Not much in way of amenities, very simple breakfast options. Attached Mexican restaurant is fair. Comedy club (over restaurant) on Friday and Saturday night is fun.
