Swiftcurrent Lodge On the River, Estes Park

it's the perfect spot, on the river and a short, scenic walk into RMNP. The owners are personable, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the details of the area. The beds are comfortable and the accomodations meet all of our needs. I love this place.

I over two decades of trips to Estes, Swiftcurrent is the first place we have stayed more than once. Just right for us.

Clean, well supplied and very nice accomodations. One of the owners, Gary, was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone.

We spent a week at the Swift Current Lodge in #6, the second week of September. The elk were bugeling and all of our surroundings were beautiful. It was breath-taking! The lodge was so clean and had all updated decor. The drinking water tasted wonderful....not like the chlorine-water back home. Waking up and sleeping to the sounds of the rushing river and nature were so relaxing. We enjoyed all of the ameneties and Connie and Gary were wonderful to us...we didn't want to come back home. We had never been to Estes Park before or even Colorado in the summer time. We looked at reviews when making a decision as to where to stay. I'm glad we chose Swiftcurrent Lodge - It was everything we expected and desired. The Big Thompson river right out your back door - the Rocky Mountain National Park just 300 ft from your front door. The owner Gary was available and very friendly/informative. We will definitely stay here again - Love, loved it!!!

We have enjoyed a one-week vacation at the Swiftcurrent Lodge during either July or August every year since 2002. My wife and I find that the Swiftcurrent Lodge is one place that we can truly kick back and relax. A typical day includes hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park (just 300 yards up the trail) in the morning, relaxing on the deck over the Big Thompson River with a book and a glass of wine in the afternoon, and sitting in the hot tub in the evening. We usually have one meal a day at a restaurant. Otherwise we take advantage of the more than adequate kitchen facilities and the barbecue grill just outside our door. Gary and Coni are consummate hosts and have become our good friends.

This was a perfect place to stay for our visit to Rocky Mountain National Park. We were there to hike and enjoy the park so we didn't need a fancy room. This place was very conveniently located to the park entrance-you could even hike into the park from the Lodge if you chose to. The owners were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was great to have the roar of the Big Thompson River to fall asleep to. The only down side was the bathroom was a little small, not much counter space and smoking was allowed anywhere outside so that if you had your windows open you might have to smell your neighbors smoking. oh and no AC. It was fine for us. They do provide an in-room fan but could be tough if you were there during a heat wave. Great place to crash after a long day of hiking. We will stay there again when go back to RMNP!

We have been going to Estes Park, Co. for the past 10 years. Have stayed at Swiftcurrent Lodge each time except for 2 time. One time they were booked up and the other time we needed extra rooms because family were coming with us and staying in the same unit as us. Have brought friends and family with us . They have enjoyed it too. Gary and Coni are lovely people and will do all they can to make your stay a wonderful one. They have become our friends. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else if possible. We go out there 2 times a year. Great time there in March with the snow. The lodge looks completely different in winter. GREAT!!!! The Lodge is right next to RMNP. You can walk right into it from there and the Big Thompson River is in their back yard. I would think everyone would like this place.

We originally planned to stay only 2 nights, but because of the nice accommodations and great weather, we stayed an extra night. The owners obviously take great pride in maintaining their property and insuring that guests feel comfortable and welcome, and it is much appreciated. The location is superb--right by the park and right on the river--with a very good restaurant just a few steps away. And we were glad to have the WIFI available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning to return.

The room was very clean, kitchen was well equiped. The river was outside the back door. a short walk to RMNP. would recomend swiftcurrent to anyone considering a vacation in Estes park. Hope to return in the future.
