Travelodge Hershey, Hershey

This hotel was clean, nice, and the hotel staff was professional. I would recommend it as an excellent bargain.

We stayed at the Travelodge for 3 nights. Unlike some of the other reviews, we found it functional for the $$$ spent. The bed linens needs to be updated, but were also clean. The hotel is located down the street from the chocolate factory, so it is not off the beaten path. If you plan to swim in cool weather, be prepared to cross the parking lot as the pool is a separate facility, not connected to the hotel. The staff was very friendly, but not overly knowledgeable when asked questions of the area. Our stay was fine, but if we return, will book the Days Inn instead.

The manager of this motel would not allow my family to change our reservation from 3 nights to 2 nights. We simply wanted to leave a day early. He said that his policy was the reservation changes had to be made 48 hours in advance. By my interpretation of that policy, I feel that we meant his requirement since we were asking for this change as we checked in. However, he refused by stating that we should have contacted him 48 hours prior to checking in. We did ask to speak with someone else about our predicament, but we were told there was no one else with which to speak. I will not recommend or stay at a Travelodge again. Many establishments simply require 24 hours to make changes to reservations. Hershey, PA has plenty of other places to stay, and I am sure many have nicer rooms than this motel.

WHEN WE FIRST GOT THERE WE WAS CHARGED MORE THAN WHAT WE WAS TOLD. WE WAS RUSHED OUT OF THE ROOM EACH DAY SO THEY COULD PUT TOWLES IN AND VACUM. I ASK THEM ONE EVENING IF THEY COULD OPEN A CAN OF CHILI FOR US AND SHE SAID THEY DIDNT HAVE A CAN OPENER, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS ODD BEING THAT THEY LIVE THERE . THEIR HOUSE IS RIGHT THERE WHERE YOU CHECK IN. ONE DAY THE LADY WAS NICE BUT THEN ANOTHER DAY SHE WOULD HAVE AN ATTITUDE. I REALLY FELT THAT THE LADY COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE NICER BEING THAT WE PAID WHAT WE DID. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE ANYMORE.

We tarveled from Puerto Rico to have a nice vacation, they promised us an indoor heated pool and a game room,but we could not use the pool and there was no game room, and the office was all the time closed

The room was clean and neat but small. The indoor pool was in desperate need of a renovation. We would not allow our kids to go in the pool because the astro-turf around the pool was ripped with molding around the entire edge of the pool. The glass windows were etched and at least two screens around the enclosure were ripped. The staff was nice and courteous, but I would not to stay there again.

This place was gross, really gross. The pool had mold on the carpet and holes in the ceiling. The web site said there was internet, there was no internet. My room wasn't clean and the curtains were held up by saftey pins. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

This is the worst motel I have ever stayed in. The shades over the windows were pinned up with saftey pins. The pool room was gross. The carpet was moldy and there were holes in the ceiling. I had a 2 day reservation but left after one night, the only other hotel with a room open was the Hilton, it was 150 dollars more a night but I paid it anyway. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We stayed at the fairwaymotelon july 9 2006 .We found the room clean and comfortable and room has coffee machine,refrigerator,wireless internet. The staff were wonderful .We recommend that you try it.
