Beautiful house with excellent hospitality

My husband, 3 month old baby and I spent the night at the Fairfield Inn for my birthday this past weekend. Upon entering the inn, we were greeted by a hostess who immediately got the owner, Sal, who took let us choose a room between two that were available. After he set us up and turned on our air conditioning, he went and got us water (it was very hot that weekend). He also offered to help my husband with the luggage and showed him how to use the keys to the front door. The next morning at brunch (which was delicious and an excellent price) Sal met us again and spoke to us.
The Inn is very historic, and you can walk look into the different rooms (as long as they are unoccupied) and there is a window cut out on the top floor to see where the runaway slaves would hide in the "Underground Railroad".
The waiter at brunch, although I can't recall his name, was very polite and the service was excellent.
The Inn was an excellent choice and we had a wonderful experience. If you are visiting Gettysburg, you might as well add the Fairfield Inn as part of your historic tour of the area.
