A great night
By W. N., 6/24/09
We stayed one night in the Dinosaur Den and loved it. It was clean, spacious, romantic and a great experience. The staff could not be friendlier. If you are used to 4 star hotels with no personality then stay away from here. This place is for the un-stuffy to have a wonderful time. Not for the nose in the air crowd wanting to be waited on hand and foot. You don't come here wanting to watch television. If thats what you want go to motel 6. The size of the TV didn't matter one bit. I was more concerned with the hot tub, the soothing decor and the overall experience. My wife and I are believers. We will make the Cliff House Lodge, and the Dinosaur Den a regular romantic getaway.

Loved every minute of it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/15/08
We stayed here for 4 nights in July. It was really great. We went to see a show at Red Rocks. The show was not very good but the stay there made the trip worth while. Breakfast served in the cottage made it cozy and the hot tub in the room was very relaxing. Jeremy (the inn keeper) was a real nice guy. He recommended great places to eat and visit. He suggested coming back during the winter when the snow is on the ground. I hope that I am able to get back there to do that. This is not a motel 6 so don't expect it to be cheap but it is worth every penny.

Love Red Rocks and Cliff House Lodge!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/29/08
Stayed at the cliff house during the Global Dance Festival with my boyfriend, the grounds were beautiful along with the cozy room with robes, jacuzzi tub, ipod dock, and a shower spacious enough for two! The location is amazing for a show at the amphitheater, just a half mile no-worry skip down the hill into a hot tub. Breakfast was great too, brought to us in our cottage with no need to motivate. Loved every minute!

Close to Red Rocks but that's about it . . .
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/12/07
The Cliff House Lodge did not suit our tastes in the least. But, I'll start off this review with something positive . . . the new Inn Keeper was great. Very helpful and friendly. Now for the negative. The "cottage" we stayed in needed some serious upkeep and de-cluttering. There were dusty nicknacks all over the walls and in every available space. Even an old deer head mounted on the wall over the teeny TV. In making the reservations, we had booked a king sized bed but received something along the lines of a double. Kind of stinks when you're 6'2" and your feet hang off the bottom. (the bed was reasonably comfortable, though) Ugh. The bathroom. All bodily functions came to a screeching halt upon arriving at the Cliff House Lodge. The "bathroom" (really - a toilet in a closet) had a slatted, folding door with several of the slats missing. Needless to say, it afforded very little privacy. The shower was a glass stall set practically in the middle room with a (literally clear) view out the back door . . . which we had to keep open to air the stuffiness out. Between the sounds of the motorcycles going up and down the road and the music/voices coming from the bar located directly behind the property, there was little R & R to be had. We booked 3 nights but only stayed 1 . . . leaving before breakfast was served on the plates set outside on the patio the night before. (woodsy area = bugs crawling all over what you're supposed to eat on) That one night was VERY pricey because our Visa was charged the minute we made the reservation several months ago. (Be sure to see cancellation policy) If you're looking for an unusual place and don't mind a little grime . . . the Cliff House Lodge is for you. If you're looking for something clean where you're not afraid to take off your shoes and/or have your neighbor see you while showering . . . then I'd keep looking.

everything you could ever want!
By Meredith, 5/14/07
The Cliff House Lodge in Morrison, Colorado has everything to offer. The sensuous pleasure of hot tubbing all weekend, exploring Red Rocks fantastically awesome natural area, and whooping it up in the town's fun bars and restaurants (all walking distance)left us desiring nothing! The beds there are ultra comfy, the towels are so soft! Breakfast was perfect and brought cheerfully to us at the perfect moment! The historical mansion and clean, cozy and stylish cottages are filled with amazing artifacts. You could spend hours just looking at all the interesting art and things around the Cliff House Lodge itself. Great for the active imagination! The innkeeper is a very cool and knowledgeable young person. The whole place just could not be more charming. By far my favorite romantic getaway ever. Thanks, Cliff House!
