Great location, not a good place to stay.

The one staff person we met, and this was two weeks ago, was wonderful. The rooms themselves, we looked at two of them, are falling apart and very very expensive. They are very very dark, without a light on even in broad daylight. The door of the refrigerator handle was sharply broken off, the canopen was also broken in a manner that my husband almost cut himself. There were two dead lightbulbs, easy enough to replace if the motel room is clean and attractive - it was quite the reverse. Though there was a microwave there were few and random pots, plates, mugs, dishes to cook with - one of these , two of those, etc. We were told the place is being torn down in two years and so the owner is not fixing things as they break, is not hiring staff to keep them clean. Apparently this used to be an okay place to stay until new owner came on board. It is remarkably expensive. The next night in Denver we stayed in a Super Eight and it was like being in a palace after the Green Drake. For half of the price - half - their were 2 queen beds, free long distance phone service, breakfast offered in the morning in the reception area, more than one staff person, and best of all it was a really attractive room, with windows and it was clean !!
