We're looking forward to going back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/20/07
The location way a little out of the way from everything as far as attractions or restaurants bot there was a spectacular view from our private balcony. The room was very clean and spacious.

We have been going for 30 Years!
By Eileen Kenah, 6/11/07
My family has been going to the Port Royal since 1977. It has been the one constant in the Wildwood area. My entire family (my parents, siblings and all our children) now go for a week every year. Since we live in Chicago, my kids love seeing the beach. The hotel has a great pool, gameroom, restaurant (with an outdoor seating area) and a perfect location on the beach. I still love it as much now as I did 30 years ago!

Tough to get in- but once you do it is great!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/06
The only problem with this hotel is booking reservations...you can't get them during peak season. The hotel is by far the best hotel in Wildwood. It is clean, well decorated, good food, great views and nice clientele. Yes, there are families during the summer- but what would you expect at the Jersey Shore during the summer??? And in reference to two comments by past reviewers- there are two vacant lots on either side of the Port Royal- but I know for sure one is City Owned and will not be developed as it is where they have little quaint markets, etc. Also, they now have Queen size beds in their two bed room. It is far enough away from the boardwalk that you do not have all of the noise but close enough that you are not miles away. Overall a wonderful stay.

Family friendly/Singles nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/16/05
Definitely one of the nicest and newest hotels in the Crest for families only. The rooms are not great for romantic weekends. There are no queen or king beds in the hotel rooms and the sound of screaming children ruin what could be great ambience and decor. There is a nice restaurant in the hotel. It is a little too far to walk to the boardwalk. Plus there are two vacant lots on each side of the hotel waiting to be developed. The front desk was less than accomadating and a times borderline rude. Prices are comparable and on the low side to other less appealing hotels in the area.

One of the Best Hotels on the Island
By Daniel, 7/18/05
I've stayed at a couple hotels in the Wildwood area and this is by far the best of them. It is the closest I have come to staying at a real hotel in Wildwood (If you go to Wildwood often you probably know what I mean). Definetly expensive, parking can be rough, still better than pretty much anybody else.
