Don’t stay here!

If I could push a button and wipe this place off the face of the Earth, I would do it in a heartbeat.
The Quebec Calypso Resort by the Sea in Wildwood, NJ is certainly no resort. It’s a motel, it says so right on their business cards. Also, they call themselves a luxury resort motel on their website, but people should forget the “luxury resort” part and focus on the “motel” part.
OK, so now that we have cleared that up, allow me to tell you about what I experienced there. If you like small rooms with bunk beads, maid services that come at 5 PM, and getting sprayed in the face with Windex, then this place is for you! I made my reservations over the phone for the Quebec and they promised me I would be placed in the Quebec because they own three other motels in addition to the Quebec. I wanted to stay at the Quebec because this was supposedly better than the other three motels, but my family stayed at the Quebec after I stayed at their Key West Motel and they experienced the same things as I did at the Key West Motel. Anyway, I was assured that I got a room at the Quebec and do you know what happened? When I arrived, they told me there were no rooms available at the Quebec! Even though I had reservations, some BS happened and I lost the room. I should have just picked another hotel to stay at, but I didn’t have an Internet connection to find reviews of other places, so I decided to stick it out with them and stay at their Key West Motel. Remember, I needed a room for two. Do you know what I got? I got a room with bunk beds! My college dorm room was bigger than this! So, I complained and got to check out a room with a king-sized bed at their Happy Days Motel, but this room was basically a room with an oversized bed in it and so I chose the first room. To boot, in the second room, the refrigerator was left open and didn’t seem to work when I was looking in that room!
Alright, so I tried to make the best of it even though I was staying in a dorm room. I tried to stay out of the room as much as possible, but, of course, I had to be there sometimes. The maid service was a joke. When I first got to the room, the sheets were dirty with God knows what, the toilet paper roll wasn’t even a full roll, and the maid service came at 5 PM (and they continued to do so throughout my stay). They give you two towels, so if you’re a female and want to put one towel on your hair while having one wrapped around your body, you can forget that (if you’re staying with another person). Also, if you want more towels, you have to either wait until 5 PM when the maid service comes or physically go and pick them up at their main office. If that wasn’t bad enough, you have to help the maid service with their work! I was in the room when they came one day and I had to hold the blinds open while she cleaned the windows because they were broken. She kept on spraying me with Windex because she had it on the mist setting! I told her to watch out, but she couldn’t speak English well.
Want to know something else? My room didn’t even have a phone in it! God forbid something happened and I didn’t own a cell phone, I would be screwed! Speaking of screwing, there’s a crappy diner across from the motel and in the diner’s parking lot, you can hear the prostitutes making their money! Simply disgusting!
When I finally checked out after my vacation, the people at the front desk did not ask me how my stay was or anything like that. I just had to leave my key cards at the desk, and that was it. Very unfriendly!
The only good thing about this place was the location. It is located right by the boardwalk, but guess what, so are many other hotels! There’s even one literally right on the boardwalk! I wouldn’t pick this motel just for the location alone because everything else sucks and there are many other hotels that are located just as close (and, indeed, closer) to the boardwalk.
If I can save even one unfortunate soul from coming to this dumb, my job would be complete.
