We were referred to Sleepy Hollow by another local motel that "accidentally" gave away our reserved room. We were thrilled! We lost the refrigerator and internet we had expected, but it was well worth it. The room was very clean, very well appointed, and very, very comfortable. Price was still $39 and the room was far better than chains at twice the price. Don't be fooled by the 50s exterior -- it's a gem and well worth a stay.
Sure, you could pay double for a chain hotel in Green River, but why? The Sleepy Hollow is a gem. It's retro 50s, so if you expect a modern but character-less sameness, this isn't your cup of tea. But we found it to be charming, clean, friendly and fun. And for 39 bucks (late Oct. 2009), the price was great! It's much better than el-cheapo Days Inns or Ramadas that we have stayed in before. Check it out. It's a great little place. Funky coffee shop next door, too!
