Raines Victorian Inn, St Charles

this was our first experience with a b & b and it was excellent. the home was immaculate and beautiful. our room luxurious and was very private. the owner was available if we needed her but otherwise she did not intrude on our time, alone without children for the first time in six years. the next morning at breakfast i was nervous about interacting with guests that i didn't know as i am very private but the owner came out just long enough to start the conversation rolling and made sure we were all comfortable before retreating back into the kitchen. and by the way breakfast was wonderful. we were happy enough that if we ever go back to st. louis area for anything we'll certainly stay there and no where else.
