All B&B's should be this nice
By Leslie, 4/13/09
What a wonderful find! It is a true bed and breakfast in every sense of the word. Early 1900s house impeccably decorated on a quiet street near the capital building in Charleston, WV. Hospitality +++ from Lisa, the owner (even when we weren't able to arrive until nearly 7:30pm). She showed us where to find cake, iced tea and other hospitality items in the kitchen and dining area. We walked to a cute restaurant she recommended (Bluegrass Kitchen) and had a wonderful dinner with a bottle of wine, and a huge piece of yummy tiramisu for dessert. Came back and sat on the front porch before retiring for the evening to the "Grandmother's" room, located on the 3rd floor. They have wi-fi available throughout the building, though with our short stay, we didn't bother turning on our laptop. Wonderfully comfortable king size bed. Chocolates on the nightstand. Breakfast definitely makes it worth rising early, as Lisa is a gourmet cook and sets a beautiful table. It was good Friday, so my husband and I weren't able to eat meat that morning, but our special need was met without any problem. Come to find out she purchases all of her groceries from local vendors. She took plenty of time to chat with us. I can't even begin to tell you how clean this B&B is.We are already thinking of who of our family members would enjoy a stay at the Brass Pineapple. I can say without hesitation that this would make a wonderful home away from home, for business or pleasure.

Our new place to stay in West Virginia
By GWENDOLYN, 3/1/09
This bed and breakfast is the best kept secret in Charleston. The staff is so hospitable and go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. The rooms are so comfortable and make you feel even better than home. The food is delicous and wakes you up every morning filling the house with smells unimaginable. No need for a wake up clock. I will never stay anywhere else when visiting W. V. and can't wait to get back in just 2 weeks.

Wonderful for the Health Conscious
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/18/08
I am so in love with this place. It's often hard to combine 'old-victorian' with fresh, clean and creative. My family originates from W.VA and by habit we'd stay at the nicest hotel chain in the city, until one of my clients (a well-traveled attorney) said that the best B&B secret is in Charleston, West Virginia...surely I thought they were mistaken- not W.Va?! Well I called and snooped for a few days prior to booking. I couldn't believe the service. They were able to link me to florists I needed, inform me of their meal choices and the local shops and local produce they used, which is important to me that they support the community. Each meal had incredible non-pork, wholegrain tasty and healthy alternatives and the owner knew her teas!! It was a joy just choosing from the incredible varieties of organic teas she'd selected and the thought that she puts in each one. My two children loved it as well and looked forward to the organic milk and cookies each evening. Buying local and organic can be expensive, so I am just thrilled that the Brass Pineapple does it's very best to provide this option when possible.

Beautiful; Perfect B&B Experience
The Brass Pineapple is a "must stay" in Charleston. Why you ask? 1) Location -- you can walk to the Capitol, by the river, and to the East end area (try the Bluegrass Kitchen, mmmmmm.....) 2) Spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated (wonderful stained glass). 3) Guests' needs are first... expect to be pampered here with a gourmet breakfast, snacks anytime, and other amenities. For overall value and quality, this is one of the best B&B experiences you could ask for!

Best B&B I've Stayed In
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/21/05
This is a very elegant, yet cozy B&B. They have wonderful amenities for a business traveler or just a getaway. The food is some of the best I've had in B&B's. They are located in Charleston's historic district and very close to downtown and the interstate. The room was excellent. I've never stayed in a B&B or hotel that was as clean as the Brass Pineapple Bed & Breakfast. I can't say enough about this place. It makes my trip to Charleston worthwhile.
