This inn was rescued by its current owners, who understood the historical significance of the buildings and the beauty of the area. Today, each room has a view of Mono Lake, and each has been totally refurbished and decorated to reflect its origins. There is a good restaurant and wonderful gift shop, which was imported from Bodie, a nearby ghost town. This place is not only charming, it is a history buff's delight.
