No Service-No Heat-Rude Owners
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/07
"DO NOT STAY HERE! Looks clean and friendly, then ... This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were cold and there is no heat (winter time) - they have heat registers but they do not work. Cockroaches were climbing the walls, and they NEVER cleaned the room the whole time while we were there (9 days). When I walked to the office to asked for towels which I had to every time, I was told no I could not have towels that day, they did not have enough for us to change out every day. The women owner said she would let me get towels every other day. They never made a bed or changed the sheets in the nine days. I was yelled at by the man owner for not having my key when the front door was locked in the middle of the day (they only day locked), he threw the key out a window to me. There is no way to get to the rooms without climbing 2 staircases and they stink and made me gag - it smells like wet gym socks mixed with curry stink! They never collected the garbage and I was told to set it outside the door, it would set their for a day or 2 before collected. I paid 499.00 for a week and 120.00 a day, I was told because I paid a weekly fee that I would get service once a week, but when I went to a daily charge at the end of my stay I still did not get service. DO NOT STAY HERE!"

Upscale Hostel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/07
This place really is great for the price. I recommend getting a room with a bath - the tubs are clean and roomy. It's a lot more like a dorm/hostel than a hotel (but a lot more mellow). The weekly rate is very reasonable. The place is very simple, your rooms are cleaned once a week (hence the low service star), but it's more like home in that way. Having a fridge, microwave and wifi is really fantastic as well (especially for leftovers). If all you want is a clean, safe, cozy place to stay while in SF then this place is great. I stayed here when I moved out of my apartment and needed a nice place to crash for a week between leases but I would have out-of-town guests stay here (it's not like you spend any time in the hotel when you're sightseeing). It's also very close to BART and some great restaurants.

Can't beat it at the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/24/07
The room was small and spartan but clean as was the bathroom. It's very convenient to the Mission District activities, it's on the second floor & locked at night so very safe. People were very nice. Internet access in lobby. I rate service low only because it's not that kind of hotel.
