Edgewater Resort and Lodge, Mountain Home

This place is right on the water, no driving to the dock. The lake is so beautiful!! The cabins are a good sizes. everything is supplied. Sue,(the owner) is Very nice. The cabins need some updating, and way to expensive for a weeks stay. They would probably fill up if they didn't cost so much. You could go stay at Gaston's and eat out all the time for what it cost to stay here. I truely feel that they are way over priced. for what you are getting. Its not the Ritz, its a cabin. Make sure you know where you want to stay and on which side of the lake you would like to be on as this place is a very long way from town if you need anything. Our cabin was very clean, sheets, bathrooms, etc.... oh,, and its NOT any kind of a lodge. It is just a resort where you rent cabins.

I agree, this lake is beautiful. We had a wonderful vacation. Our cabin was nice. It had all the room we needed for our stay. It was clean, everything was provided such as dishes etc.. you received clean towels 3 times during the week. Nice Pool. Bait and Ice are also available. Things they need to change. The description of their resort. First, there is no playroom, it is a dirty messes part of the owners basement. There is NO LODGE, it is also the owners home. The swing set for the kids is about 25 years old, rusty and falling apart. Its not even safe. The sandbox is just a weed bed. The covered boat dock is old and in need of some repair and FULL of spiders. The man that runs part of things seems very rude and could care less if you were there. He did not make you feel welcome, more like an inconvenience. we just avoided him. what this place needs is some updating. A play area for the kids with safe equipment. More friendly attitude, Better discription of the place. This is not one of the cheaper resorts. For the money we expected a cabin, but an updated one, nice play area for the kids, friendly and maybe a boat slip that wasn't filled with spiders, (I am not talking 3 or 4 spiders here) more like hundreds. Alittle bug spay would go along way. All in All we had a nice vacation and I would go back to Bull Shoals lake as for this resort, I agree that it is over priced.
