Spring Break Stop
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/18/07
We stopped at Eagle's Nest per the recommendation of a KOA employee in Nashville. Campground staff were very nice. Word of caution: DO NOT USE THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. We took the "friendly trolley" from Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg. The total distance was less than 10 miles. We had to switch trolleys FOUR times enroute. It took 3 hours and 45 minutes to get to our final destination! We thought it must have been bad luck, but had the same experience exchanging trolleys, waiting, and coming home around the same time. Good advice: Take a cab for $20 - $25. Well worth the effort.
