Riverhouse At the Park, Gatlinburg

We love stay here each yr. we come to Gatlinburg. Always have found it clean and very large rooms. Like sipping my coffee on the bacony and listening to the river. It is sooooo quiet here, no traffic noise! Hey! I think you will always find someone who doesn't like any hotel, it's just the American way...We love the whirlpool tub in our room. Nice way to unwind in the evening. Nice not to have the breakfast and just coffee/ juice...becuase we like to eat at the pancake houses. But to have the coffee or juice it a treat. Don't forget to eat one time for dinner at The Peddler....just down the street. Just ask. and once there ask for the river table please.

The rooms were clean, large and well laid out. Loved the in room fireplace and the view of the river. Sitting on the balcony watching the wildlife and listening to the river was relaxing and romantic. Will definately be staying again. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Great experience.

We visit the mountains about 2 to 3 times a year and we always stay at this hotel. We love it. The location is perfect. There's a hiking trail right next to the hotel that goes along the river and its an easy walk to and from the gatlinburg restuarants. The rooms are clean and large and the fireplace is great in the colder months. They bring freshly made doughnuts to your room each morning at your request. We prefer dougnuts without the icing and when we asked they told us to let them know the night before and they will make them for us. And they did. The OJ is great. Its freshly squeezed. The river rooms are the best value. Occasionally we have tried higher priced lodging but we always regret it. Ask for a room away from the street.

This is the very best hotel in Gatlinburg!!! We have stayed at this hotel and it's sister hotel, "Riverhouse Motorlodge" for almost 29 years and have had nothing but the very best experience every single time we go, from the cleanliness of the room, to the friendliness of the staff, to the in-room breakfast, it's simply the BEST, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else, and we always can't wait to go back!!! Not sure about the experience that "Jennifer, 7/18/10" had, but that is definitely NOT the norm, and I would weigh the majority of the reviews rather than that particular one, as you won't be disappointed when you stay here. The hotel is beside the Gatlinburg Trail that leads to the Sugarlands Visitor Center and that trail is one of the easiest, family friendly, and beautiful trails in the Smokies--it follows the Little Pigeon River and the views along the way are breathtaking. Take a chance on this on this hotel for your stay...you'll be so glad you did! :)

IF A NASTY MOTEL, WITH RUDE THEIVES IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THAN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! Myself, husband and daughter stayed here for 2 nights and this was 2 nights too long. FIRST we requested a NON-SMOKING ROOM and were given a SMOKING ROOM. I called down and questioned the front desk employee about this she took on an attitude, stating that is was in fact a NON smoking room, and she had some spray we could use if we wanted to come down to get it. We stayed in an adjoining room with some of our friends. On their door was a non smoking sign, there was NOT one on ours. I think this is a room they just use for what ever suits their needs. They are friendly when you check in while your are giving them your hard earned money, but once they have it that STOPS. SECOND, there was a large piece of lime green bubble gum stuck to the wall, with a lot of dirt on it, and it had apparently been there a long time. It was right next to the bed. THIRD, after a long day of walking I decided to get a bath and turn on the jets for relaxation, when I did LARGE pieces of BROWN stuff came shooting out of the jets. NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. FOIURTH thier idea of a complementary BREAKFAST is a wanna be doughnut and a dry piece of toast. My family and I go to Gatlinburg several times a year. We did have a good time despite our poor choice in motel. WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND WILL BE SURE TO ADVISE ALL OF OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We planned this trip about one month ago, we spent several hours on the internet looking for a place to stay and read many of the reviews. This place had all good reviews except one. I am wondering now if the hotel in fact removes ALL of the negative reviews to suit thier theiving ways. SO READ THIS QUICK BECASUE IT MIGHT JUST DISAPPEAR. SO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My family takes a vacation to Gatlinburg every year after a family camp out in Kentucky. We absolutely LOVE Riverhouse at the park!! We are a group of 10 ranging from 70 years old to 10 years old and we all love the place.My aunt talks about the donuts for weeks before we get there. Between all of us we have probably stayed there 50 times and never once a complaint from any of us.We will be returning next week and we are all so excited. Thanks to all the wonderful staff that keeps us coming back every year!!! The rooms are very clean and spacious. Relaxing on the balcony in the early morning or late evening is the highlight of my trip and this place is the best for that.The swimming pool is never crowded and we seem to have it to ourselves alot. Thank-you for such a wonderful place to stay. Great price, you don't need AAA...staff great and friendly. Neat cont-breakfast deleived 'to' your room, just right to get you started for the morning. LIGHT 10~just off the drive AROUND [by-pass] to Gatlinburg, quick to get to at light 10-Ski Rd. and then your off to the Park or where ever. We hope to stay in May also....BIG rooms...CLEANNNNN! If you're NOT pleased with your room, then you need to think twice !!!! I didn't loss any benifits staying with the RIVERHOUSE in the PARK !! Thanks again...I'll be back....= )

Older hotel, but extremely clean and well managed. The rooms are very large and comfortable. The price is very economical and the location is wonderful. I would definitely stay there again. Donuts are great. The only negative is that the coffee is weak.

I HIGHLY recommend this hotel! The rooms were the largest out of any hotel room I've ever stayed in, the staff were very friendly, it is located within walking distance of all the shopping, but far enough away that it was not total chaos outside! Outdoor swimming pool/hot tub area nice, rooms with view of creek, all rooms have balconies. My husband and I arrived a day earlier than our reservation for our cabin was for our marriage/honeymoon stay so we stayed here the first day. We ended up liking this place better than our cabin and checked out of it a day early and stayed several extra days! The rooms really are the biggest "non-suite" room you'll ever find. Large bedroom/living area, balcony, 3 separate bathroom areas. The first just had a sink and mirror and also had the mini fridge and microwave. The second had the shower and sink and mirror, the third had the jacuzzi tub and toilet. All separated by doors, mind you. Very cool! This is the best place for value you will find in Gatlinburg!
