Rivermont Cabins, Waynesville

We have been coming to Rivermont for the past ten years. It has been 5 years since are last visit. The quality has declined. We stayed in the Sunburst Point. The Master king bed felt like we were sleeping in a hammock, The couch in the living room is well past it usable life, Cob webs in most corners with live spiders, Filthy in bathroom corners and under and around the washer and dryer. The light in the bath was loaded with dead bugs. The game room/barn has the same foosball table for the past 10 years unusable, a broken down ping pong table and furniture you would not want to sit on. The grounds are beautiful. But we will no longer make this a vacation destination. We arrived the cabin was open we were never greeted or acknowledged in any way.

We stayed in the Overlook cabin last week. We went prepared to cook meals in the detatched kitchen. Unless you want to spend a day of your vacation throughly cleaning the kitchen, we would not recommend. Mouse poo everwhere - in the toaster, on the microwave. The statement iabout hte kitchen being "fully equipped" is true, but apparently no one has used the items in quite sometime. The dining area smelled of mouse urine. The cabin also had its share of mouse poo and did not appear to be cleaned in awhile either. We never saw the cabin management and ended up sending an email to request additional toilet paper, we never heard from her. My husband spoke with her on the phone about our concerns and it all went right over her head as if we imagined these concerns. Otherwise, we had a great time!
