Awful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/07
They say it is a quiet place for quiet people, but all I heard all week was the owners driving around on a tractor. The owner was extremely rude to us and even told us that he had been waiting all day for us to leave so he could trim the bushes behind the cabin. The cabins are old and they smell like it. The owners even number the garbage bags in the house, as well as everything else...it makes you feel like a thief. The furniture is extremely uncomfortable because they have managed to put plywood under every cushion on every bed, sofa and chair. I felt like I was being watched by these people the whole time, you cannot relax because they wont let you enjoy the peace and tranquility of the place. The only good thing about it was how beautiful the gardens were and the natural beauty of the creek. I would never go back again.

booked for next year
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/19/10
Once again, the positive outweighs the negative. I read all reviews and I took the good with the no so good review. After our vacation was over, I felt comfortable enough with the owners to ask about the numbered garbage bags. I found out that a guest had lost a ring and called back after she got home and asked if the landords would please keep an eye out for it. They looked though all the garbage bags and found the ring! So from that time after, bags get numbered according to the cabin number. If another problem surfaces, they will know where to look; rather insightful. We were looking for a serene getaway, and we found it here. We also enjoyed a fresh fall of snow! PS - A. Rufus Morgan waterfall is a must, if you are able.

Slice of Heaven in Franklin
By Keysrat, 7/18/11
Lovely mountain cabin along a mountain stream. The landscaping is like a botanitcal garden. Each cabin has it's own private area at the stream with a bench or chairs, picnic table and grill. Hope to return in the fall so we can try out the stone fireplace in the livingroom. Jackie and Larry have done a marvolous job with this property and you can tell it's their pride and joy by the care they take of each and every thing.

Love to visit Wayah Creek Cottages every year
By Wellness, 2/15/09
My husband and I just enjoy our yearly visit to Wayah Creek Cottages (we have gone in the Spring, Summer and Fall) - the grounds are just beautiful. Jackie and Larry are excellent owners - they make you feel like you are at home. The cottages are very nicely decorated and kitchens have everything you could ask for. We own two timeshares (one w/Hyatt and one w/Marriott) - so we are always looking for the best place to stay. Wayah Creek Cottages ranks 5-stars in our books.

Wayah Creek a picturesque bit of North Carolina
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/08
Along the beautiful rolling creek these cabins are a taste of life away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Larry and Jackie make sure you have an enjoyable stay. Many close by attractions such as white water rafting, hiking, shopping and train rides in nearby towns and villages. Gorgeous gardens in front of the cabins provide renters with their own little little piece of paradise. An abundance of firewood is provided for your own stoneface fireplace for each cabin right at your front door! Enjoy a pleasant stay at a friendly, clean and beautiful location, as we have for 14 years. Jeanne & Rich Barth.

Fantastic!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/12/09
We stayed in Cabin #3 a two-bedroom which is right across the road from the Creek and found it to be everything and more that we had hoped for. Cabins furnished with all you need, BBQ and benches in front of each Cabin. Lovely landscape - sound of running creek so soothing - stayed one week and would return every year - it was delightful in every way. Lots of activities and beautiful scenery throughout the surrounding mountainous area.
