Edgewater Resort, Hot Springs

Did not like this place. The cabins were very small. The utensils in the kitchen did not look clean. They boast a grill at every cabin, we had to search to find it because you would have to literally sit on the ground to use it. The cabins are extremely close to one another. Was nothing like the webiste described and definitely would not stay here again.

We arrived at the cabins,the owner seemed ok at first,but when my daughter and her boyfriend showed up all of a sudden someone was knocking on the door at nearly 11:00 pm.I came to the door and it was the owner and he told me to "GET OUT!" He thought we were trying to sneek them in and not pay(Idiot) This guy was a real jerk! I offered to pay extra and told him I would of told him they were there the next day,I didn't really see the big deal.He wanted me to put my daughter back on the road at nearly midnight!She is only 16.They only came to spend the next 1/2 day on the lake.I finally talked him in to letting them stay for an extra $20.00. This really ruined our stay as we felt he was spying on us!(are there cameras in the rooms?)Later we met his wife,I feel sorry for her,she seemed like a nice lady.I think this guy should probably get into another line of work as he doesn't have the right attitude toward people,especially kids!

My family stayed 5 nights at the Edgewater Resort and we could not have been happier with our stay. We discovered Edgewater online and we are always nervous about what we are going to get when we arrive. We were pleasantly surprised! It was as described on their website and more. It was perfect for my wife, two sons and myself. The lake was warm, which was a relief to my wife. The resort put pea gravel down in the lake in the beach area so the bottom of the lake was neither mucky or rocky. The kids loved the water and jumping off the swim dock. There was great fishing for small pan fish that my youngest son enjoyed. The cottage was clean with an ample sized refrigerator to buy groceries and cook in - we saved a lot of money not having to eat out. It is a great location and very private. The owner and other renters were very kind. We traveled from Michigan and were treated to a warm Arkansas welcome. These type of places are becoming harder and harder to find - it is a great place to stay! We would highly recommend it.

We loved the location, convenience to the city, peace and quiet. The cabins were very clean and the beds extremely comfortable. We did not know what to expect, but needed a place to unwind and relax for four adults. The price was right and the management was super. Even though the cabins are fairly close, you never know anyone else is in the world. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to the water and the views. We have traveled extensively all over the world and if we had to pick a place to spend a week or so, this would be it for us. We definitely plan to return as soon as we can work it into our busy schedules. They provide microwaves, refrigerator, television (satellite), clean kitchen and bathroom.

Its a nice place to go if you really, really like lakes but I didnt really enjoy it. It had a kitchen, bowls, forks and such but i wasnt very sure if they were clean. The service was ok. The managers were nice and kind of talkative.The room wasnt very comfortable. Now if you are used to very quiet, nights then you may be able to sleep but if your not used to quiet i wouldnt reccomend this place. Its really kind of creepy at night. You can sometimes hear owls and such and frankly, it can kinda creep you out if you let it. The location was convinent but the cabins were kinda, well i cant call them run down because they werent but the floor was really creacky and the bathroom doors dont have locks. I didnt really feel clean in the cabin.The lake also has a deep drop off really close to shore so if you go here, and you bring your small kids, watch them closely. Its a nice place to go,but if if you ever go, you should probably go get a nice hotel. Its much better in a hotel than it is there!
