Robert Woodruff, an original purveyor of fine Coca-Cola products, built this modest mansion in 1912 as a honeymoon cottage. Since fully restored, the house has become a beautiful bed-and-breakfast, operated by innkeeper Eleanor Matthews. 12-foot (3.6-meter) ceilings and period furniture make for a luxurious place to stay, and each of the three rooms has a private bath, something of a rarity among small B&Bs. Matthews serves a refreshing continental breakfast every morning. The inn is near to most major Atlanta attractions but keeps a private comfort with its quiet neighborhood location.
