Beware of Storing Your RV at Chula Vista KOA
By Pete, 10/02/09
I stored my travel trailer at the Chula Vista KOA for 1 month. At the time of registration I asked what type of security they provided. I was told that at night KOA has a guard dog roaming the storage area. I believe it because there was dog stuff all over the area. They also have a security gate with a pass code. When I picked up my trailer I noticed one of the side storage doors was slightly open. Not fully, because the other end was locked. I also noticed the steps to get in/out the trailer were down. For some reason one of the tire caps was practically off. I looked in the trailer and everything seemed to be in order. As I left I told two of the people working the desk. They were surprised. When I got home I did not wash it until two days later when I noticed one of the windows was slightly open. If someone got in, I cannot tell, but it sure seems like someone tried their best.

Good times, bug spray
By Luka Dee, 09/08/08
What we liked was the nice clean campgrounds, lots of concrete, great showers, family environment, dislikes were MOSQUITO's! There were mosquitos morning, day and evening, BRING BUG SPRAY! Speeding was a problem too, with no one going 10 mph, and the location is bad, by freeway, and Chula Vista River with its mosquito breeding grounds.

Memorial Weekend 2008
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/08
Arrived to friendly staff and organized for the holiday weekend; RV Park very clean, hookups were easy, and lots of room for riding bikes; The rental bikes were great too! The planned events such as pancake breakfast was excellent, the games were fun for my son, and the atmosphere was relaxing! The spacing between RV's were plentiful too for a standard spot. Would go back again!

Would go back anytime

The grounds are beautiful. Cleanliness is beyond great. The staff responded well with what we thought was a problem but turned out ok. We are taking our camping group back in July.
