1 reviews for Log Cabin Guest House, Natchitoches
Delightful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/05
The cabin is a cozy, warm restoration of a building about 80 years old. The cabin's two screened porches overlook beautiful downtown Natchitoches, which is just a few steps a day. There is a bedroom and bathroom upstairs, and a kitchen/den downstairs. Everything is decorated in a charming, 1950's rustic style. Lots of old, natural wood paneling and logs lovingly cared for. There are delightful old furnishings that complement the age of the house. While Natchitoches is a gorgeous city, it is a temptation to stay in the cabin, rock and read on one of the porches, and watch the river, boaters, and fishermen. The only caveat I have is that, unlike many guest cabins, the kitchen was not well stocked with food and drinks. If you plan to eat in, bring your own supplies. Or better yet, take the 2-block walk across the bridge into downtown and eat at one of the great waterfront restaurants! Not only would I stay here again, but I would BUY the place if I had the money!!
