Bay City Lodge, Apalachicola

There is a about 16 of us that go every year. We are the Cox and Cumbie family we have been going down there for 12 yrs now. It all started With a man named Johnny Powers he got this family to love bay fishing. every year its been better then the last. Johnny Past away this yr we all will miss him . We all ways catch a load of fish every year around 400 to 600 fish sometimes, They take care of us we all have a great time as a family and friends. We will keeping going back every year

Very well run operation. Stayed in the Davis Lodge which is great for a larger group of 6-15. The Davis lodge is much nicer than typical fish camp cabins. Red Fishing was a little slow and the Sheepshead weren't in the bay much but the Trout fishing was good. Maid service was very good. FYI, at the end of your trip when they total the bill, they add tips for the meals at their restaurant so don't double tip like we did lol. All in all it was a very good experience. Suwanee Fishing may be a little better actually but the convienence of Bay City Lodge was hard to beat.

Great food,clean rooms, easy access to the Bay. The location close to all of the Apalachciola attractions. Knowlegable staff at Pro Shop. Nice gift shop,plus all the small necessities. And did I mention prices? Best value in the entire Forgotten coast.

My husband and I spent Thanksgiving at Bay City last year. It was wonderful. Cabins were clean, food was good, service was wonderful and we were only minutes from downtown Appalachicola. Great launch facilities...I could go on...try it for yourselves. It's a piece of old Florida. We're going again this year!

Good rates, good food, boat slips included, fish cleaning available, gas, ice and bait. It can be called "Fishing heaven on Earth"!.

My wife and I had dinner there two years ago. The owner's wife accidentally overcharged ( I didn't realize it) us. A year later, we came back. She remembered us, had also remembered overcharging us, and insisted that the dinner was on the house. That's honesty and integrity that you don't find these days. What great folks and what a great place! Best seafood in all of Florida!

It's nothing fancy, but a great place to stay if you love to fish. You do not have to worry about a thing. Put the boat in the water and go fishing. Great food, great price and the rooms are clean. If you have been there once you will be back, like us.

As far a fish camps go....this place is top of the line but not top of the price range. Our first time here was in the early spring and we were extremely pleased. Clean, neat (the rooms and the grounds), TV and coffee maker w/coffee. What a fantastic place. We will be back. The only problem was having to leave. Can't wait to go back.

30 mile an hour winds did not stop us. caught fish. everyone is nice, food is great, what a breakfast, i will be back.this place is professionaly run.
