The Dickens House is perfect for the erudite traveller and especially if you like the Bed&Breakfast experience. Ed Caudwell is the affable host and very informative about the house, history and city of St. Petersburg. The rooms with their luxurious bedding are sure to please even the most discerning visitor. Ed whips up the most delicious breakfasts. When we were there, a fabulous fruit bowl, shirred eggs on toast points with perfectly cooked bacon was on the menu. Piping hot coffee and gourmet teas available too. A beautiful porch with ample seating makes a great spot for evening cocktails or an early morning coffee and reading the St. Petersburg paper, which is delivered daily. This is probably the best place to stay in St. Petersburg in the new artsy/foodie neighborhood, just a few blocks walk to delicious restaurants and fun shops. Don't miss riding on the hopper trolley that gives you an informal tour around the sights of the city and can drop you off at the fabulous new Dali Museum. My first trip to St. Petersburg and certainly not my last! Highly Recommend The Dickens House,
