We stayed here in July & have already booked for the 50th BASH in January! It was perfect! Nice & quiet, very clean & comfortable. The breakfast & atmosphere was terrific. We sat pool side, early morning enjoying the peace & quiet. The pool side bar was a feeling of having your own personal bartendar! Close by to lots of "local" hang outs!! IT WAS TERRIFIC!!! The staff was terrific....EVERYONE!! We'll see you all in 3 weeks!!!
Our family enjoyed a 2-day stay at the Lighthouse Court and loved everything about it. The location was great- across the street from the Hemmingway Home and within walking distance of popular sights, restaurants, shops, and the pier. Parking could be a bit of a challenge. But other than that the staff was nice and helpful, breakfast was good, and the atmosphere of the rooms and the court yard was cozy, pleasant, and clean. Our family would definitely stay here again and in the meantime, we highly recommend the Lighthouse Court if you're planning a stay in Key West, Florida.
We recently stayed at Lighthouse Court for four nights in a king suite near the pool. Was a wonderful relaxing stay, quite, pool was nice, bed was comfortable - and the roosters were never too loud! Breakfast could have been a little more than toast and bagels since we paid such a high price for the room, but the location and the grounds were beautiful. Only only complaint, not real good water pressure - but we would stay again but next time in off season, I paid over $200 per night due to race week, and never saw a race?
We happened upon this quaint little hotel, while on a mother/daughter trip to the Keys and found no other place we would rather have stayed.
We had a room, poolside, that was clean, quiet and extremely comfortable. For being located only about 30 feet from the pool, it was very peaceful, relaxing and most importantly clean. It was a little tropical oasis within the hustle and bustle of Key West. Only one block from Duval, we were only minutes away from everything.
We are two people who do not wish to stop for a second for fear that we may be missing something on this little island, but we found that no matter where we were or what adventure we had planned, we always looked forward to a quick trip back to our little piece of heaven that awaited us at Lighthouse Court Inn. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
I can't even begin to tell you how many people I have recommended this place to, knowing that they too will treasure this memory.
This place is convenient, immaculate, clean and beautiful. I am actually planning my trip to Key West right now, based on room availability. If I can't get Lighthouse Court Inn, I will wait until there is a time where there is a vacancy. Sounds insane, but honestly, even if you are planning on only sleeping there for a few hours, you may just change your mind. Breakfast at the pool, venture out for some island excitement, meet back at home base for drinks by the pool and maybe even lunch, head out for evening fun and back to your hotel for a quick dip and a wonderful nights sleep.
Location was pretty good, only one block from Duval. Room was clean, and cleaned every day we got back from exploring. Continental breakfast is served by the pool everymorning, but get up early enough to get it. Price was great for what we had, king room and private bath. Only one morning did I hear a rooster. When walking down Whitehead near the hotel, it does look like the neighborhood is not that great, but we had no problems.
we just got back from fantasy fest, big mistake staying here. very expensive and the location is next to the "projects" when you walk by at night comments would be made and some scary people hang around there. the room was tiny and over priced. we ended up with a porch that faced bushes and the
pool is freezing.
My girlfriend and I stayed here in July and were not impressed. Upon arrival, the floor of our bedroom was covered with loose insect wings and the bed linens contained live insects. It was as if this particular bedroom had not been cleaned in weeks and the bugs were partying hard. Once cleaned and changed, the bed was still home to some random insects. The bed itself was uncomfortable due to a presumably old/cheap mattress and the pillows were not much better. The bathroom was very basic but had the necessities; small sink, low-flow toilet, and stand-up shower. The shower floor and curtain were in dire need of repair/replacement, while the water pressure was very, very weak.
Another bizarre and frustrating aspect of this hotel were the gates. Guests have to navigate the premises via a maze of closed gates that employ a non-intuitive opening mechanism which can be quite annoying when entering or leaving with hands full or after a little drinking.
However, there were a few positives. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. The location is excellent, near the south end of Duval and within walking distance to nearly everything. The AC in our room was walk-in freezer cold, which was very welcoming in the Key West furnace of July. The pool, grounds, and building exteriors were all clean and well-maintained.
If you can trade-off the price tag (it IS Key West, afterall) and roadside motel-style room for the location, then it may be worth a look.
Great location one block from Duval St. Right across from Hemmingway's house and next to the lighthouse. Rooms were good and everything in the advertising was accurate, except there was very limited parking. If you don't get a space, you have to struggle to find a space on a nearby street. Within walking distance of Mallory Square and the beach. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you really want to get the best out of Key west.
We took our trip the last of July, first part of August. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Isabel suite. Loved it. Had a whole lot of room to move around in, beautiful grounds, wonderful pool after a hot day of walking around Key West. The only thing I didn't like was the darn roosters crowing first thing before light. No drinking the night before and thinking you can sleep it of the next morning. I felt like putting the kitchenette to good use one night and cooking us a dinner consisting mainly of various chicken dishes. Anybody going, we would highly reccommend the hotel. Also, make sure you go on the haunted tour from the Conch hotel. It was very interesting. Rent scooters and you can get around quickly and easily.
