Description

One step up from a tent, these cabins offer adventure-seeking tourists exactly what they want: the chance to surround themselves with the natural wonders of Hawaii. In some cabins, only the basics are provided: a roof, a stove and a shared outdoor shower. The newer cabins have private bathrooms and even screened porches. Still, these lodgings are rustic at best. Note: No need to bring tissue or a cooking pan; those items are provided. Kitchen facilities, laundry facilities, hiking trails. Owned by Seventh Day Adventist Church. It is awful how they discriminate ...

and not let you rent unless you are part of the seventh day church This is awful, and should be illegal. No business should refuse service to anyone based on their religion, like this business does.

Would Recommend It To Anyone

I think this is a perfect place for a family reunion or a group camping trip. Location is certainly a plus. For a "step above a tent" this is the perfect step if you don't want to do a hotel and don't want a tent. I would recommend this place to anyone planning a family reunion, golf vacation for a group, any club outing - perfect place. You certainly can't beat the location and easy access in/out of the property. Rustic, yet so close to modern conveniences. Privacy, a big plus. Facilities are excellent. Once you get all your groceries - you don't have to leave the area. Only thing missing is a swimming pool.

It's a must!!

We spent our honeymoon there and loved every minute of it! The rustic cabin, outdoor shower, no tv, no phone - - it was a wonderful experience that we will never forget. You're far enough away from town to have solitude, yet close enough to be at the beach in minutes! Can't wait till we can go back! Truly worth it with all the beauty around you - Kahili mountain, the foilage, etc. We couldn't even see the next cabin over! GREAT!!!!

This gem is one of our favorite places to stay ever, anywhere! I have stayed here in three different levels of accomodations, and each time it was unique, memorable, and well worth the money. A bargain in fact, all things considered. Nestled at the base of a verdant ridge of peaks, off the road, rural quiet delights. Since there are no TVs (last time I was there), the focus is on the surroundings. This is the true nature of the Hawaii experience as the locals experience. There are a variety of optioms. You can hike the trails close by for complete solitude or be in town in a few minutes. I also like that you can cook here, which stretches your travel dollar. We adore Kauai, and this is one of it's best-kept secrets.
