Hale Kai Hawaii, Hilo

Hale Kai was recently named one of "the Top 100 bed and breakfast's in the U.S. and Canada," by Frommer's Guide. The home is situated on a bluff overlooking the ocean, which affords gorgeous views from guest units. A pool, Jacuzzi and patio area are all available to guests. Each of the four guest units is comfortably furnished, with private baths. Three of the rooms share a common living room; the fourth has its own sitting area. A delicious breakfast is served every morning, including macadamia nut waffles, island fruits and Portuguese sausage. The inn is located just three miles from Rainbow Falls and the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden . It is also within close proximity to Waipi'o Valley, Volcano and several excellent swimming and snorkeling beaches.
