My Absolute Favorite!!!
By ,
It's been nearly 8 years since our visit (October 2000), yet I can't get it out of my mind. After a week at a time share in PV, two nights at Majahuitas was not long enough, but it was the perfect way to end our first trip to Mexico. Waking up to coffe and pastries to nosh on while getting "ready" for the day, then having breakfast while the beach is being set up for you - chairs, umbrellas and cocktail tables just in the right spot. Lounging until lunch - whilch was fabulous - and snorkle in the afternoon. Vollyball with the staff? Read on the beach? Have a massage? Take your pick. Or boat to Yalapa and hike the waterfall if your feeling adventurous. The food was beyond expectations and fresh as could be. Candle and solar lights along the path take you back to your casita after a relaxing dinner with the other guests - there were only 6 of us when we stayed. Falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves and waking up to do it all over again.... We went on the spur of the moment on the recomendation of a friend - one of the best things we have ever done. Thank you Felix!!

Only the best for the bold
By ,
This is what a Mexican vacation should be about. If you love big resorts with huge pools surrounded by bikini clad babes -- go to Vegas. Margo was our hostess for five incredible days. 12 of my friends and I (almost) bought out the resort, which is a wonderful idea for large groups. The beaches are immaculate thanks to the twice daily gooming and cleaning by the staff. The beach umbrellas and lounge chairs were perfectly situated for a perfect view of the cove and to keep us within the line-of-sight of Javier or Geronimo (our bartenders). Within moments of dropping our flags, they attended to whatever need we had -- even if that was challenging Javier to a game of volleyball (very fun, but do not place a wager). Once the sun goes down, only the candle-lit pathways guide you back to your open air cabanas. Very beautiful and perfect for the adventurous honeymooners. The best part of the entire experience was the food. Our chefs were fantastic, and right on every time. Whether it was perfectly prepared octupus or succulent and juicy steaks -- they know their way around a kitchen. The food rivals the best restaraunts in Puerto Vallarta.
