Devonshire Arms Hotel, Cork

I actually wrote a review on this hotel about a year ago when we stayed, and for some reason it's not showing up on Yahoo anymore. I feel compelled to write again, as I can't believe the description that is given for it. This hotel is lost, I actually shudder at the thought of calling it a hotel. It is faulty towers except worse - when I was there, we were the only guests! The hotel is damp, and not looked after, it's a joke. The rooms are so out of date, a tv that doesn't work, no remote, no tea & coffee, and as for the bathroom, disgrace - things were living in the bath. We had just been on out motorbikes for a full day and needed a clean hotel and it was far from it. While the bar man was nice, he was young and I feel even he was embarrassed that we were staying it in. They tried to charge us 60e, but we refused to pay it. At a push we paid 40 each just to get out of there. This place needs to be either closed (I do not know how it has 3 stars from AA), or it should be knocked down. I cannot stress enough how bad this place is, and I am embarrassed to be Irish and this place is being advertised as a place to stay in Ireland.
