Try a Nudist Break
Costa Natura is an unassuming, quiet, friendly naturist resort. You are expected to be nude to the maximum extent possible, given the weather conditions. The accomodations consist of apartments that are owned by private individuals and rented out for short time stays. There are a handful of permanent residents, but the majority of the people you will meet are on holiday from the UK and elsewhere in Northern Europe.
Upon checking in at the front office, you will be advised where your apartment is, and how to get through the automatic electric gate. There is usually plenty of parking available inside the guarded gates, but the parking areas are more suited to small Euro-cars than mini-vans. Be advised that once you are through the gate, you are likely to encounter naked people.
The facilities are self-catering, and all of the apartments we have stayed in (3 so far) have been well equipped with kitchen supplies, basic furnishings and are kept clean by the housekeeping staff. The actual quality of the furniture, household goods and appliances varies widely according to the taste of the owners.
There is a restaurant for lunch and evening meals as well as a bar that is open in the afternoon/evenings. In the evening, it is normal to wear clothing to eat in the restaurant. There is also a snack bar for lunch and drinks near the beach entrance. Prices are generally reasonable and the food is good in both facilities. A small grocery store operates on a part-time basis (check the hours) and only stocks very basic food items as well as bred that is freshly baked daily on the premises. You will need to go outside the complex for major shopping.
Once inside the complex and having located your apartment, stow your perishable food, drop your clothing on the couch and take a stroll around the lovely well-kept grounds. You will be delighted by the neat tropical gardens and the well-maintained appearance of this naturist "village" by the sea.
One minor disappointment is that the beach is small and quite plain. There is a guard at the resort entrance from the beach to prevent non-residents of Costa Natura from entering the resort.
The main attraction for most people is not the beach, but the other attractions in the complex. The swimming pool, although unheated, is a delight, with plenty of sunloungers and ample surrounding grassy areas to work on that "all-over" tan. Nearby, you will find a Sauna, Hot tub, tennis courts, Boules court, pool table and a host of other diversions.
One warning is that this resort is not totally handicapped friendly. If you have any doubts as to your ability to negotiate stairs and other potential obstacles, point that out when you book your accomodation, and the staff will take that into account when assigning your apartment.
If you have never been to a nudist/naturist resort before, try out Costa Natura for a "different" experience. The liberation you will feel as a first-time naturist is one you will never forget.
