Western Pleasure Guest Ranch, Sandpoint

Even in the rain, we enjoyed the horseback riding. The horses are beautiful and the sceenery even more so. The owners are gracious and really make you feel at home. The lodge and cabins are set in the pines, it is a beautiful setting. I have been there for wedding and it is so romantic to see the bride come in on the wedding carriage pulled by two beautiful big draft horses. Roley and Janice and their two children really do make you feel at home on their ranch. We even got to help them wrangle cows! So fun!! So beutiful. We have been there several times and at different times of the year. Each one has it's own endearing quailities. In our adventures there we have seen many deer including some very new little fawns. We were very excited one day to see a moose that was about 50 yards from us, and on one trail ride we watched a bald eagle flying above the stream we were crossing. If you don't want to go on a horseback ride there is always a romantic buggy ride-or sleigh ride if you are there in the winter- with one of their beautiful teams of draft horses! Definitely a must see and experience.
