Hungry Jack Lodge and Campground, Grand Marais

9/2/2006 We've traveled all over the upper midwest, checked out most lodges and campgrounds and found the last 8 days to be above and beyond our expectations. Jerry,Forrest, John and Erika the lodges owners, hosts, and staff rolled into one are tops. The campground for those like us who prefer to camp is super, wood to burn to your hearts content, HOT showers, (and they keep them clean) water at your campsite along with electric make for a perfect stay, and you can't say enough for the area.We looked at all the cabins and will go back up when there is snow to snowmobile, and just enjoy the area. Cabins are truly neat relics of days gone by, but modern to our present standards and needs. Truly Gods Country and they are proud of it. This isn't just a job to Jerry and Forrest, they truly love the area and the work they do, and it shows. For those wondering if the trip up is worth it, pack your food, fishing gear, and go enjoy.
