Twin City Motel, Barre

We found this lovely motel just off the road. Clean, and friendly- felt the warmth of true hospitality here. Would recommend this motel to those who are looking for a clean and comfortable room.

The room was very clean, management extremely helpful -would recommend for anyone staying in that area- very reasonable.

I had to be in Montpelier for a morning appointment so we decided to go up the day before. I decided to try this place based on reading other reviews which mentioned cleanliness and reasonable price. I called for rates and found them to be reasonable so I booked a room. The room was very clean. It had cable TV a microwave and refrig. Although small it was all we needed for an overnight at a good price. The owner was very nice and I enjoyed talking with her. The location was good and I got to my appointment in plenty of time even with the road having construction to put in a round about which I am sure will make things better. We also enjoyed a wonderful meal at Sarduccis which I would highly reccommend to anyone. Carmen Vermont

I've stayed at the Twin City many times over the last 15 or so years, at first with my parents, and now with my own family. It's always my "home base" when spending a few days, or a week, exploring Vermont. The owners are very friendly, and you can tell they take great pride in their motel. The rooms are clean and well maintained. There are some good restaurants nearby as well. Skip the chains, and spend the night where friendliness and customer service are genuine and not part of a mission statement.

The Twin City Motel is the only place I ever recommend to family, friends, visitors or people who ask me for directions and for a good, clean and quiet motel. It is the best, with very friendly and accommodating service by the owners of this family owned motel and those who work for them. In fact I have previously stayed there on occasion myself and would again.

The motel was extremely clean and and well maintained. It was close to the interstate. Only dislike was the bathroom was extremely small. Owners were great and went out of there way to make our stay enjoyable.

These cottages are small, clean and have just what you need. If you're looking for a reasonably priced place close to downtown Montpelier, it's perfect. It is right on a main road, so some traffic noise, but otherwise lovely. The family who owns it are kind and helpful.

We stayed at this motel several times and plan to return each time we visit the Montpelier area. The owners are wonderfully helpful and pleasant, and the rooms are amazingly clean. A great place to stay!

Stayed 3 nights. Clean, inexpensive and unbearably cute! Owners Donna and Rejean friendly and helpful - obviously take great pride. Avoid the slummy places and overpriced chains - stay here while you still can. A small well-run independent motel is increasingly hard to find.
