Couldn't have been better!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/05
We loved everything about the Thistle Inn! I'm sure the secluded setting is beautiful in any season, but it is especially pretty and peaceful when covered with snow. Bikes were available had we wanted to use them. The bedrooms were exceptionally clean and beautiful - each with a tasteful private bath stocked with ample towels, glycerine bars, and a hair dryer. The garden patio connected to our rooms included an inviting table, chairs, and hot tub. We enjoyed the large selection of TV channels while relaxing between hockey games. The beds were ultra comfortable. The bedroom fireplace with remote control was a very nice touch, as was the dish of chocolates in each room, and the availability of a stocked mini fridge in the downstairs snack area. Pat and Gary seemed more like old friends than two people we had just met. Pat served an ample, healthy, and delicious breakfast timed just right for our schedule. The view during breakfast in the large upstairs dining room was breathtaking - from the antique dishes and table decorations to the trees and garden outside. We enjoyed watching the seasons change as Pat and Gary changed decorating themes from Thanksgiving to Christmas overnight. I can't say enough about this Inn but I've already given away too many surpises. Book early, I'm sure this little treasure fills up quickly, especially during peak seasons!
