Sea Breeze Inn, Block Island

The Sea Breeze is a lovely little in, just minutes from the New Harbor and the ferries. I've stayed in the main house for the past two years - shared baths, but only two to three rooms share the bathrooms. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely furnished. Gabi, the manager and her staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are simple but quite delicious, more like a continental breakfast than a full one. The property is located such that there are great water views, and there are chairs behind the main house where you can sit and enjoy a quiet view. There are two small ponds with kayaks on the property. Small children are discouraged, but my teenage daughter is welcome there. Smoking is not allowed on the property - if you smoke you must go the the street and dispose of cigarette butts responsibly. A hotel is just across the street, with a bar and restaurant. They have weekly concerts, which can get a bit noisy at times, but they've never kept us up. A great value and great time - I recommend it to anyone visiting Block Island.

Away from the bustle, a nice walk from the center of town. The rooms with private bath are very sweet. The shared-bath rooms would be best for people travelling together. Behind the inn there is a picnic table and adirondack chairs with a beautiful view of 2 ponds and beyond that LI sound. Gorgeous sunsets. Gabby, the manager, is wonderful and had terrific recommendations for activities etc. Would definitely return to Sea Breeze Inn.
